CraftedWoodUK started when founders Yasir Ali, a senior scientist and a woodworking enthusiast, and partner Iqra Tariq, struggled to find unique solid wood furniture and decor while decorating their home. Noticing a lack of unique wooden furniture in the local market, the dream was born to create a furniture and decor company to help customers who were also struggling to find high-quality rustic furniture in the UK.
With humble beginnings, selling at local markets, the unique rustic decor and furniture pieces became extremely popular and the business quickly expanded to include a variety of unique handcrafted products.
Today, the CraftedWoodUK range includes everything from solid wood staircases and handrails to bespoke furniture and decor pieces made to client specifications, and is proud to supply solid wood furniture to everyone, from private homeowners to hotels across the UK. Made from solid Scandinavian wood, each piece of timber is carefully selected and expertly made by local craftsmen.
OUR MISSION
Covid-19 has highlighted how important it is to support the local economy. CraftedWoodUK’s mission is to make sure that the manufacturing of our products stays local to the UK and to further promote local employment through hiring only local artisans and craftsmen. All this while continuing to provide our customers with bespoke handmade decor and wooden furniture.
